The Day Excursion is designed for travellers who want to experience the Sundarbans without an overnight stay. You cover a scenic river stretch, visit a key watchtower, enjoy a Bengali lunch on board or at a riverside home, and get a feel for the mangrove ecosystem before returning the same evening.
Itinerary
10:00 AM: Report at Godkhali Ferry Ghat and board the boat for an exciting Sundarbans day excursion through scenic rivers, narrow creeks and mangrove forests.
10:30 AM: Begin the boat safari through the beautiful waterways of the Sundarbans, enjoying views of the mangrove ecosystem and opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife.
11:00 AM: Visit Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve and permitted sightseeing areas with a government-authorized tourist guide.
12:00 PM: Continue the boat safari through permitted forest routes, exploring the natural beauty of the Sundarbans and looking out for spotted deer, crocodiles, monitor lizards and various bird species. If you are lucky, you may spot the Royal Bengal Tiger.
1:30 PM: Enjoy lunch as arranged in the tour package.
2:30 PM: Continue exploring the scenic rivers and creeks, with opportunities for wildlife watching and nature photography.
3:30 PM: Begin the return boat journey towards Godkhali Ferry Ghat.
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Arrive at Godkhali Ferry Ghat. The Sundarbans day excursion concludes with wonderful memories.
