We plan this tour backwards from the light. Departures are early, the boat holds position where the compositions are, and the schedule leaves room for waiting — which is where wildlife photography actually happens. Suitable for serious hobbyists and professionals alike.
Itinerary
10:00 AM: Report at Godkhali Ferry Ghat and begin your boat journey towards the Sundarbans. Enjoy scenic river views and mangrove landscapes along the way.
1:30 PM: Arrive at the hotel and check in.
2:00 PM: Lunch at the hotel.
4:00 PM: Enjoy an introductory boat ride through nearby rivers and creeks, with opportunities to photograph birds and wildlife in their natural habitat.
6:00 PM: Return to the hotel and relax.
7:00 PM: Dinner preparations and leisure time for wildlife photographers to organize their camera equipment.
10:00 PM: Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
7:00 AM: Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 AM: Begin the wildlife photography safari by boat through the rivers and creeks of the Sundarbans.
8:30 AM: Visit Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve and permitted sightseeing areas with a government-authorized tourist guide.
9:30 AM: Continue the boat safari through designated forest waterways, including Pirkhali, Sarakkhali, Gazikhali and other permitted areas. Focus on photographing the Royal Bengal Tiger, spotted deer, crocodiles, wild boars, monitor lizards and diverse bird species, depending on wildlife sightings.
12:30 PM: Visit the Do-Banki Tiger Reserve area and watchtower, subject to forest permissions and the approved route.
1:30 PM: Explore the Panchamukhani five-river junction, subject to the permitted boat route, for wildlife and habitat photography.
2:00 PM: Lunch as arranged in the tour package.
3:00 PM: Continue the wildlife photography safari through the mangrove creeks, observing and photographing birds and other wildlife from the boat.
5:00 PM: Return to the hotel.
7:00 PM: Leisure time to review and organize wildlife photographs..
10:00 PM: Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
6:30 AM: Early morning wildlife photography around permitted riverbanks and nearby natural habitats.
8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
9:00 AM: Check out from the hotel and begin the return boat journey towards Godkhali Ferry Ghat.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Arrive at Godkhali Ferry Ghat. The tour concludes.
